Opening A Third Party Account

Any business will need an account to receive and send money. Traditionally if we have a physical business we will open a trading account with our local bank. Meaning to say, if you live in the United States then you will get a trading account in the US. But how about doing business over the internet? Briefly there are two most used third party accounts available in the internet. There are probably more but I will only describe these two because of the most accepted transactions are using these two services. These two accounts are namely PayPal and Clickbank.

What is Paypal?

PayPal is the safer, easier way to pay and get paid online. The service allows anyone to pay in any way they prefer, including through credit cards, bank accounts, buyer credit or account balances, without sharing financial information.

PayPal has quickly become a global leader in online payment solutions with more than 153 million accounts worldwide. Available in 190 markets and 24 currencies around the world, PayPal enables global ecommerce by making payments possible across different locations, currencies, and languages.

PayPal has received more than 20 awards for excellence from the internet industry and the business community -most recently the 2006 Webby Award for Best Financial Services Site and the 2006 Webby People's Voice Award for Best Financial Services Site.

Located in San Jose, California, PayPal was founded in 1998 and was acquired by eBay in 2002.

What is Clickbank?

"The Web's Most Trusted Digital Marketplace"

ClickBank makes a sale somewhere in the world every three seconds, safely processing more than 26,000 digital transactions a day. We serve more than 200 countries, and are consistently ranked as one of the most highly-trafficked sites on the web.

ClickBank is privately held with offices in Broomfield, Colorado and Boise, Idaho. Click Sales Inc. is a subsidiary of Keynetics Inc. All products and services offered by Keynetics or its subsidiaries are subject to the ClickBank Legal Notice.

A Website of Yours...

You need a website to become an affiliate and that's for sure. You may use a website like this one (Blogger.com), or you may want to get a web hosting so that you can get URL of your choice. If you're hosting by Blogger.com, you might want to read the terms & conditions and understand them clearly. Three of my blogs were suspended due to technical error. So can you imagine what happen when we host for free?

The best way to set a website is to get paid web hosting. Last time the web hosting will cost you some money that some of us will think twice before subscribing. But today the hosting can be as cheap as $9.90/month or even cheaper if you know where to get them. The advantage of paid web hosting is that you will get a total control of your website. Some of the advantages are:

1) You website will never get suspended
2) You can put any advertisement on your website (blogger.com will not let you advertise other than adsense. If they caught you, your will be suspended).
3) You will get your own emails.
4) 24-hours support from the hosting company.
5) Like blogger.com, they also provide you with site builder so you don't have to learn HTML.

So now you have the idea why a paid hosting is better then a free one. If you want to get started and have your own website then I suggested these web hosting. Not only they are cheap but they are really great for someone who just want to start an internet business. Just look around and you will get what I mean.

2) http://www.lunarpages.com/
3) http://www.hostso.com/
4) http://www.thinkhost.com/

Once you have your own website, just play around and build your own look. Later on we will learn how to make money by becoming an affiliate. Stay tune..

What is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate Marketing is an Internet-based marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's marketing efforts. It is an application of crowdsourcing.

The Affiliate Marketing industry has four core players at its heart: the Merchant (also known informally as 'Retailer' or 'Brand'), the Network, the Publisher (also known informally as 'the Affiliate') and the Customer. The market has grown sufficiently in complexity to warrant a secondary tier of players, including Affiliate Management Agencies, Super-Affiliates and Specialized Third Parties vendors.

Affiliate marketing overlaps with other Internet marketing methods to some degree, because affiliates often use regular advertising methods. Those methods include organic search engine optimization, paid search engine marketing, e-mail marketing, and in some sense display advertising. On the other hand, affiliates sometimes use less orthodox techniques, such as publishing reviews of products or services offered by a partner.
